Mrs. Tasha Culberson
Howdy! I am excited to be teaching here at Rooster Springs this year. I have been a proud member of the Dripping Springs community since 2006, with a brief time spent in Katy. I taught 4th grade for two years at Dripping Springs Elementary School, stayed at home with my girls for a few years, taught 2nd grade here at Rooster for three years, one year in 1st grade, and two years back in second.
I currently hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences specializing in Vertebrate Zoology from Texas A&M University, a Texas teaching certification (EC-8), Special Education certification, an ESL certification, and GT training. I am also a Google Certified Teacher. After college I worked in Yellowstone National Park doing research on the reintroduction of wolves and the effect they had on the elk population. It was a wonderful experience, but it was not what I was meant to do with my life. I realized that I am an educator! My journey for knowledge is ongoing. I hope to model to my students how to become life long learners, take risks, and become leaders.
I have a wonderful husband of fourteen years, three amazing little girls (McKenzie-11, Kailey-9, Kierra-8), and two dogs (Krystal and Nala). I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with my family and friends.
Interesting fact about me: I am one of 5 girls and have 3 girls myself, but my husband is one of 3 boys.

Personal Mission Statement
I will learn from teachers and students. I will have an open mind and I will change it when necessary. I will not only educate students brains, but their heart as well. I will be somebody who makes everybody feel like somebody.

I also LOVE candles... vanilla is my go to, but I also love seasonal scents like fall and summer smells. The Volcano candle is very nice and in my house often.
