Practice ideas:
- addition & subtraction facts (practice until they have the answers with automaticity). Use dominoes, dice, playing cards, and math apps to make it more fun. **Knowing math facts is key to so much of what we do. If they know the facts then they can focus on the steps of the math problems. We will use adding and subtracting in money, graphs, patterns, measurement and more. - coin identification - counting coin amounts - telling time on a clock Curriculum
We will be using an online math program by Pearson. I will change the online activities as we move on to new units. Please explore and practice at home! Choose "programs" to see all of the 1st grade topics and choose "classes" to see suggested assignments for the current unit, eTextbook, and play games. If there's a due date, you can ignore it (I have to choose one to share the assignment). Username: ds######(initials)@dsisdtx-us
