Spelling Words Information
Each week your child will practice a list of spellings words at school. Spelling word lists will include phonics pattern words and sight words/high frequency words. There will be a spelling test each Friday and it may not look the same for everyone. The list can be found in the weekly newsletter.
Phonics Assessment Information
Phonics Assessments will be given weekly to assess your child’s knowledge of letter sounds, letter recognition, coding and reading words, and sentence dictation. Some sections of the weekly Phonics Assessment will be given in a whole group or small group setting and other sections of the Phonics Assessment will be given individually.
